We created the first forest "Quye-Cuhuba", which in the Muisca language means "Family Forest", as an example of the reforestation program we want to implement for the 2 hectares of watershed we have in La Esperanza GEI. We planted more than 50 trees of the native species Pink Cedar ( Cedrela fissilis ), African Tulip ( Spathodea campanulata ), Myrtle ( Myrcianthes leucoxyla ), Rose Apple ( Syzgium jambos ) and Oak ( Quercus robur ), seeking to regenerate the habitat of local fauna and flora. Each donor makes the financial commitment to support the planted tree until adulthood, receiving an annual report on its status. The sustainable management that will be given to these forests includes comprehensive weed control, organic fertilization and formative and flowering pruning.

The regional cooking is one of the most varied and delicious of Colombia. With our community support focus, we count on all the ancestral knowledge and the best healthy recipes to share in workshops, field trips and gastronomic evenings. With ingredients from the region, and the condiments and know-how of our grandmothers, La Esperanza IEF invites you to develop your culinary talent in our firewood kitchen and stone oven.

La Esperanza GEI features a Paleolithic cave approximately 80 meters long, with passages of medium difficulty. The experience begins with an access trail and ends with an activity that strengthens teamwork and family interaction. This adventure is available for children and adults.

La Esperanza GEI will feature four sustainably built cabins using local materials such as wattle and daub, wood, and cob. Through innovative designs, we'll show you construction examples that can be replicated in any region of Colombia. We'll feature a treehouse, the "Nest House," a house nestled in the earth, the "Hobbit House," a beautiful "Peasant House," and the picturesque "Hydrogen House." Each cabin features a rainwater harvesting system and separate management of gray and black water. We invite you to spend the night in one of them and enjoy the benefits of a sustainable and environmentally responsible space.
