How was La Esperanza born?
From the need to create a support platform for "Neorrural" communities that allows them to acquire productive and technical skills for their social and environmental integration in their new life plans.

What's happening in the world?
We are currently facing a deteriorating quality of life in large cities, accompanied by shortages or skyrocketing prices for basic foodstuffs. Added to this is the deterioration of our physical and mental health, accompanied by insecurity, mobility issues, environmental pollution, and the loss of values that teach us the true basic needs of human beings. In addition to the post-pandemic phenomenon, the risks associated with the urban sector have motivated many families to seek alternatives on small plots in the countryside, facing limited knowledge of agricultural processes, which entails great risk in making decisions in this direction.
Added to this problem is the deterioration of the countryside due to more than 60 years of agrotoxic use and the cultural differences that distance farmers from these so-called "neo-rural" communities.

What is a "neo-rural"?
The term "neo-rural" refers to a person who has decided to abandon city life to move to the countryside and live there. This decision can be motivated by many reasons, such as a desire for a quieter lifestyle, a search for a greater connection with nature, concern for the environment, or an interest in agriculture and rural life in general.

Neo-rurals often seek to escape the congestion, stress, and fast-paced life of cities to find a different quality of life in rural settings.
How can we support you on your journey toward a sustainable rural life?
One of the most important decisions when deciding to live in the countryside is to learn about the needs, potential, opportunities, and threats that will allow you to develop a successful life plan.

We invite you to experience La Esperanza GEI, where you can spend time with us, join in on activities, live like a neo-rural, and decide if this lifestyle is part of your future.

You can also participate in training sessions and the personalized follow-up we offer to each participant in our workshops and courses.
